For the third time we set our course in August 2011 toward the fascinating metropolitan areas of the Baltic Sea! Kiel (near Hamburg) will be our point of departure and from there we will travel to the picturesque and colorful city of Stockholm. Built on 14 islands, Stockholm is also called "the Venice of the North" because of the beautiful archipelago and its many canals and waterways. Enjoy the scenic cruise across the Baltic Sea to Helsinki, Finland's bustling capital, to capture the fabulous sights of the city called the "Daughter of the Baltic".  Here you can discover for yourself why the appeal and lure of the Finnish Tango has become the national dance of Finland since 1913. Argentine Tango meets Finnish Tango!
The highlight of our Tango cruise will be no doubt St. Petersburg. We have two complete days to spend in that beautiful city, which is still to this day a symbol of Russian culture. Whether it is a stroll on the city's romantic bridges, or a visit to the masterpieces housed in the Hermitage, Russia can satisfy even the most demanding of visitors. Since our ship will stay over night in the port, we will use this unique opportunity to visit a Russian Milonga. Nasdrovje and Viva el Tango! Our final destination is Tallin with its medieval charm. We will definitely find a beautiful setting for a spontaneous outdoor Milonga here. Since we will be travelling in August, we still should be experiencing pleasant temperatures with longer days, late sunsets and unforgettable Tango Summer nights!

“Tango at Sea” welcomes again Diana del Valle and Juan Camerlingo, a refreshing young couple with a warm, entertaining teaching style that appeals to both new and seasoned Tango dancers. With excellent didactic skills, they will capture your imagination with their harmonious, elegant and playful body language. Their skills illustrate the sensual traditional tango combined with a strong creative modern style. They teach in german, english and spanish. In. St. Petersburg, they will dance for us a performance at the russian Milonga.

We will be cruising again with the Italian Costa Fleet. On board the new “Costa Pacifica” we will spend a relaxing vacation in “the high north”.

Beverages, purchases onboard, excursions, travel to/from Kiel. (nearest airport: Hamburg).

Important information:
A valid passport is necessary for the journey. Visa is necessary for most nationalities to visit St. Petersburg. If a shore excursion is booked by COSTA Cruises, the VISA will be included and you only need the valid passport. As on our tango cruise to St. Petersburg 2009 and 2010, we will again organize an attractive program in St. Petersburg together with COSTA, including the visit of a russian Dinner and russian Milonga at night. Group Visa will be included automatically for you.

Our Ship
“Costa Pacifica ”, Costa Cruises, built in 2009 is a modern and elegant ship which provides an atmosphere of extensive Italian elegance and style. The finest designers and architects have spared neither effort nor expense in creating the Costa Pacifica cruise ship. It is a cruise ship that pays homage to the music, its different styles and musicians. The Costa Pacifica offers a host of amenities – several cosy Lounges, the 2-story Main Restaurant, a buffet restaurant with outside terrace, Pizza Corner, four swimming pools (one swimming pool with roof), whirlpools, fitness and huge wellness centre, theatre and casino. The Costa Pacifica has four dance floors. There are 1504 cabins, 521 cabins have private balcony.

*service charge:
Room accommodations onboard require a daily service charge for all quests. The payment amounts to 7,-€ per day/per person. Children under 14 years are exempt, children between 14 and 18 years pay 3,50,-€ per day.  A further payment of tip is not expected. If the room service/Restaurant service does not meet the quality standards as advertised by “Costa Magica”, it must be immediately registered with the reception and the payment will be void for this period.

“All inclusive a la Costa”:
If desired, a beverage package can be booked upon reservation. The cost per person is 13,- € per day. In the beverage offer beer from the tap, white/red wine (house wine), soft drinks and mineral water are inclusive for noon and evening meals in the Buffet and main restaurants. Booking of that package must be made at the same time as the reservation for the cabin.

Pre program in Kiel/Hamburg:
Kiel is about 90 km from Hamburg. There is a bus shuttle from Hamburg airport to Kiel bus station every hour. (duration about 1,5 hours, departure planned from Terminal 1 C Hamburg airport to Kiel bus station. From Kiel bus station to Kiel cruise Terminal about 5 minutes by taxi).
If desired you can stay in Hamburg the night before (12th - 13th August) with us in the "Empire Riverside Hotel" and we go all together by train to Kiel next morning. The price for the hotel is 80,-€ per person per night, including breakfast. Please let me know, if desired and I will make a reservation for you. In Hamburg, there is a Milonga on Friday night where we can go together. (about five minutes to walk from our hotel).

Information:
A minimum of 30 persons is required for the tango cruise. (confirmed).
For those guests who do not wish to participate in the tango program/tango lessons there are limited spaces which require a separate offer. As with all registrations, contractual agreements will be in place and will adhere to the Costa Cruise Line conditions. Payment for that cruise is only possible by wire/bank transfer, not by credit card.
Participation in all tango events is only possible, when booking through Bailando Reisen.
